About

Ms. Marina Essam | A Teacher Who Believes Education is a Journey of Thinking In a time where the focus is on "finishing the curriculum", there are teachers who choose to focus on something more important: "Building a mind". Ms. Marina Essam is one of those teachers. Her teaching philosophy is based on 3 principles: 1. Learning Through Participation, Not Memorization Marina's classroom is not just about the board. It is a space for dialogue. She asks questions, discusses, and helps the student reach the answer by themselves. The goal is not just for the information to get in... the goal is for it to stick and be understood. 2. Smart Simplification The most difficult ideas are transformed by her into examples from daily life. She breaks the barrier between "the textbook" and "reality" so the student feels that what they are learning has meaning and can be used. 3. Focus on the Psychological Side Marina believes there is no learning without safety. She cares about building the student's self-confidence, and deals with each student as an individual case. She encourages, supports, and turns mistakes into opportunities to learn, not to fear. The Result She Aims For A student who doesn’t just get a grade. A student with curiosity, with thinking skills, and with the confidence that they can understand anything if it’s explained to them the right way. I don’t just give lessons... I build a way of thinking.
